INTERSOS INTERVENTION
As part of the protection activities, awareness sessions are conducted door to door and skills activities for women are monitored at home by case workers. Activities like psycho-social support groups and life skills training are also conducted in a different modality as door to door, or dealing with a single person per time or in very small groups inside safe places following protective measures. In all awareness sessions COVID-19 topics are included. The construction of wells and latrines keeps facing difficulties but we continue to guarantee training sessions on preventive hygiene practices.

CONTEXT
South Sudan saw a gradual but constant increase in COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country. Despite this, in all the national media (Radio, TV, newspaper, Facebook) information about COVID-19 situation has been slowly reduced. The health response capacity of South Sudan is very low due to the lack of medical facilities and tools. Only one centre in Juba is equipped to treat COVID-19 and the availability of the bed is very limited. Internal movements from Juba to the field locations have been very limited, starting from July also due to the rainy seasons and following floods. In September the situation improved and staff was able to reach the remote locations and conduct field visits.
