INTERSOS strongly condemns the attack on a humanitarian convoy en route to El Fasher, North Darfur, which resulted in the deaths of five aid workers. This incident, which obstructed vital aid deliveries to thousands of famine-stricken civilians, constitutes a grave breach of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). We demand an immediate cessation of all attacks on civilians and humanitarian personnel, and call for urgent, unimpeded humanitarian access to North Darfur and all conflict-affected areas of Sudan to reach the exhausted population.
