At the same time, the project ensures the fight against HIV\/AIDS, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted diseases through\u00a0<strong>direct services<\/strong>\u00a0and dissemination of\u00a0<strong>accessible information on prevention, treatment, and therapy<\/strong>. The project aims to increase community awareness and access to basic health services, while at the same time improving the capacity of institutions to respond to the health needs of people in need.<\/p>\n<p>The project, led by INTERSOS, \u00a0is financed by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/index_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Commission<\/a>\u00a0and is in partnership with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deputyprimeminister.gov.mt\/en\/Pages\/health.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ministry for Health \u2013 Government of Malta<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/praksis.gr\/en-about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PRAKSIS<\/a>\u00a0association, DIGIVIS,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pin.unifi.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PIN<\/a>\u00a0Educational and Scientific Services for the University of Florence, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcolab.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arco<\/a>\u00a0(Action Research for CO-development).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_fullwidth_section et_pb_section_2 et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_fullwidth_image et_pb_fullwidth_image_1\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.intersos.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC1741.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_section_3 et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\" et_pb_row et_pb_row_1\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_1 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text et_pb_module et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_text_1\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h3><strong>THE RIGHT TO HEALTH MUST BE GUARANTEED TO EVERY HUMAN BEING<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Italy, Malta, and Greece provide the access to\u00a0<strong>Europe\u2019s southern border<\/strong>. In recent years, there has been a steady\u00a0<strong>increase in migration flows<\/strong>: migrants, asylum seekers and refugees have reached their borders via the central and eastern Mediterranean and the Balkan route. These people share the same situations: lack of access to systematic prevention initiatives; limited awareness of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV and hepatitis B and C; access to information on biomedical interventions on HIV transmission;
