MONTENEGRO

INTERSOS was present in Montenegro from 1999 to 2003.

INTERSOS presence began in 1999 to assist internally displaced persons from Kosovo and refugees from other areas of ex-Yugoslavia. Intersos continued its assistance to the displaced from Kosovo by managing refugee camps with majority population of Kosovo Roma, Ashkalije and Egyptians. Additionally, assistance was provided to the local vulnerable population. Intersos handed responsibility for the Konik camp to the Montenegrin Red Cross in late 2003.
