INTERSOS was present in Liberia in 2003.

INTERSOS' activies took place during the most acute phase of the Liberian civil war in July 2003, which rendered the country virtually inaccessible to humanitarian organisations. After assisting with the first humanitarian flight delivering essential relief items to the capital, Monrovia, INTERSOS supported one of the most important health structures in the city, where more than one million internally displaced persons had moved. After the most acute emergency phase, INTERSOS handed over its activities to other organisations.
